The Prism of Grace: On the Decans of the Moon
What does the Moon signify? How can we illuminate its five faces in the tarot?
In this class we dive into the nature of the Celestial Queen, the Moon. She protects us and makes astrology accessible to all. The Moon is magic and miracle. For us pariah prophets the Moon is revelation.
We diagram the Lunar decans and then review each of the five Lunar decans as syncretized to the minor arcana as well as the spirits, powers and applications of each:
Moon in Taurus 2/ The Six of Pentacles
Moon in Cancer 3 / The Four of Cups
Moon in Libra 1 / The Two of Swords
Moon in Sagittarius 2 / The Nine of Wands
Moon in Aquarius 3 / The Seven of Swords
As always, we review a custom tarot spread for the Moon. After watching the video, I invite you to join me in the comments or in the subscriber chat for discussion, to ask questions, and share your Lunar placement, experiences, insights and potential revelations, and to explore your reading.
So many of these lunar decans are emblematic of the Moon’s protective nature, and they certainly call for some magical offerings at the crossroads. But what I find most compelling, and was proud to see resonate with the students who attended live, was how these cards and decans address our psycho-emotional defense mechanisms. These deeper red reads have proved to be deeply remediative for clients and I hope you continue handling your cards with care.
